Thursday, 23 October–Private transfer from Bologna airport to hotel to relax and unpack. In the afternoon, meet with the group and visit Bologna’s temple to Emilia-Romagna cuisine, Tamburini, one of the finest food shops in the world. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Bologna.

Friday, 24 October–A morning guided coffee tasting at Bologna's oldest cafe. After lunch, a walking tour of Bologna and time for shopping. Dinner at your leisure. Overnight in Bologna.

Saturday, 25 October–Departure for Modena and a tour and lunch with a traditional Balsamic Vinegar producer. Continue to Mantova to see Palazzo Te (qwned by the Gonzagas who ruled Mantova from 1328 to 1708). Overnight at Corte Pallavicina on the banks of the Po River, with dinner at Cavallino Bianco in Zibello.

Sunday, 26 October–Hands-on cooking class at Corte Pallavicina with tour and tasting of the culatello (the Ferrarri of prosciutto) farm. Afternoon private tour and wine tasting at Lini Vini in Correggio. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Corte Pallavicina.

Monday, 27 October– Late morning departure for Busseto to see Verdi's birth-place then drive to Parma. Lunch at your leisure. Drive to Parma for a walking tour, including the Piazza del Duomo, site of a magnificent 12th century cathedral; featuring Correggio’s fresco in the dome and adjacent baptistery. This evening, a night at the opera in Teatro Reggio. Overnight in Parma.

Tuesday, 28 October– Visit to Parmigiano-Reggiano producer for tour and tasting. After lunch, we drive to Ravenna. Afternoon walking tour of Unesco Heritage Site featuring Byzantine mosaics. Farewell dinner in Ravenna.

Wednesday, 29 October– Private transfer to Bologna airport.
