A Taste of the Fabulous Hamptons:

Oct 24-27, 2016

Ah, the Hamptons. Just a hop, skip and a jump from the chaos of New York City, these beautiful beach communities are a blissful world away from the concrete jungle. Experience this marvelous seaside destination as the cognoscenti do: filled with fresh, seasonal foods and fine local wines. You'll stay at the historic Bridgehampton Inn, a more than 200-year-old establishment which is owned by cookbook author Sybille van Kempen. Experience two hands-on cooking classes and visit one of New York state's most lauded wineries, Wolffer Estate, located on a former potato farm. With its old farmhouse and boarding stables, it breathes old-world charm. The afternoon ends with a tour of an artisanal dairy specializing in raw farmstead cheeses made from its herd of Jersey cows. The final evening's main event is a tasting dinner paired with organic wines from the North Fork. In your free time, take a pilates class, go whale watching or simply take a barefoot walk on the beach.

Each of the Bridgehampton Inn's six rooms, on the second floor, reflects its own character. There are four poster beds, antiques and soft cotton sheets. Every detail comes together to create a comfortable, country living space.


Day 1

Arrive in the Hamptons in the afternoon and check in to the historic Bridgehampton Inn, located in the heart of the village of Bridgehampton.

The evening kicks off with a welcome dinner, prepared by Chef, who brings many years of experience to your table at the Bridgehampton Restaurant. The dinner menus change weekly, with the season, and feature the best available, locally-gathered ingredients. An extension of the restaurant itself, the bar is located in the original 1795 tavern room and is fashioned with a magnificent walnut bar.


Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel is followed by a hands-on cooking class with Chef followed by lunch. This afternoon, a guided wine tasting at the Wolffer Estate will be followed by a cheese tasting at an artisanal dairy.

Strike out on your own for dinner. We'll provide you with several irresistible recommendations.


Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel is followed by a hands-on cooking class with Chef followed by lunch. This afternoon is at your leisure to do some shopping in the village, take a walk along one of the many stunning beaches or visit Jackson Pollock's house in The Springs.

Tonight, a very special Palmer Wine Tasting Dinner with wines from the North Fork.


Day 4

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, you are at leisure until your departure.
