Emilia-Romagna Lives in Soho!

Alicia Lini, wine maker of the new generation of Lambrusco's.

Tour de Forks latest food and wine themed event, show-cased the food and wine of Emilia Romagna at Centovini in New York City. Our special guest, Alicia Lini recalled her involvement as a fourth-generation Lambrusco producer and guests agreed that the sweet spritzer of the 70's has become a dry, elegant dinner wine. Special thanks to Nicola Marzovilla, owner of Centovini and to Patti Jackson for creating a fabulous dinner of Emilia Romagna specialties including delicious tortellini in brodo, and bollito misto.

Le Potager du Roi
The Kitchen Garden of the King

Espaliered pear trees at Louis XIV’s kitchen garden at Versailles

The gardeners seem oblivious to the splendor of the Palace of Versailles in the background. Just like their counterparts before them, who worked for the King, their focus is on nurturing the plants rather than dealing with maddening crowds swirling around the palace. More
